The things people ask us most, about insurance, estimates, parts, warranties, and getting back on the road. If you don't see yours here, just call or send us a note.
Estimates & getting started
-
How do estimates work, and what do they cost?
Estimates are free. You can send photos through our online form for a fast preliminary number, book an in-person estimate, or just call. Photos are a great starting point but they can't show hidden damage underneath, so we confirm everything in person with no obligation.
-
Do I need an appointment?
No. You can stop in during business hours, call ahead, or start online. An appointment just means less waiting. For a photo estimate you don't need to come in at all to get started.
-
What should I send in a photo estimate?
Ideally eight or ten shots: the four sides of the car from about six feet back, several close-ups of the damage, and a photo of your VIN through the windshield. Daylight photos are best. If you would rather just book a visit or ask a question, skip the photos entirely.
-
How do I get started?
Start a free estimate online, call the shop nearest you, or stop in. Tell us what happened or what you need, and we will take it from there.
Insurance & claims
-
Do I have to use the body shop my insurance company recommends?
No. The choice of where your car gets repaired is always yours, and you don't need a referral or a "preferred shop." Pick us, let your insurer know, and we take it from there. We work with every insurance company.
-
Do you work with my insurance company?
Yes, all of them. We communicate and collaborate with your carrier through the whole repair, document the damage, and handle any supplements for hidden damage we find once we are into the car. One shop, start to finish, so the claim stays off your plate.
-
What if my insurer's estimate is lower than yours?
That's common, and it's normal. Insurance estimates often miss damage you can't see until the car is apart. We duplicate every insurance estimate line by line, compare it against our own, and document the difference so the repair is done right, not just to a number.
-
Do I have to pay a deductible?
Your deductible is set by your policy. In some situations it can be waived or reduced, for example when another driver is clearly at fault, and we'll help you understand where you stand before any work starts.
-
What happens if you find more damage once you start?
It happens often, because a lot of damage hides behind panels. When we find it, we document it and file a supplement with your insurer on your behalf. We keep you in the loop, and we don't cut corners to avoid the conversation.
Your repair & your car
-
Will my car be safe to drive after the repair?
That's the whole point. We repair to the manufacturer's procedures, straighten structural damage true on the bench, and recalibrate the cameras and sensors that run features like automatic braking and lane-keep. A car can look perfectly repaired while its safety systems are aimed at the wrong place, so we scan and calibrate as a matter of course, not an upsell.
-
How long will my repair take?
It depends on the damage, the parts, and your insurer's approval, so we give you a realistic timeline once we have the car in front of us. Smaller cosmetic jobs move quickly; structural work and back-ordered parts take longer. We keep you updated the whole way.
-
Do you use original manufacturer (OEM) parts?
We use the parts your vehicle's repair procedure calls for. On manufacturer-certified repairs that means genuine OEM parts. Otherwise we'll walk you through the options and what your insurance covers, so you can make the call with clear information.
-
Will the paint match?
Yes. We use computerized color matching and refinish in our spray booths, then blend into the surrounding panels so the repair disappears into the original finish, including holding up in direct sun.
-
Do you handle structural, frame, and aluminum repair?
Yes. We have frame machines at every location and the equipment and training for modern structural work, including aluminum, which has to be handled separately from steel to avoid corrosion. Some specialized work is sublet to trusted partners, and we are always growing what we do in-house.
Certifications & warranty
-
Are you certified to work on my vehicle?
Very likely. We hold 20+ manufacturer certifications, including Tesla, Mercedes-Benz, and Volvo, plus I-CAR Gold Class and ASE. Those certifications mean we use the factory parts, equipment, and repair procedures the manufacturer requires, which keeps your warranty and your safety systems intact.
-
Why does certification actually matter?
Manufacturers only share their official repair procedures, parts access, and diagnostic software with shops they certify. A non-certified shop is guessing at the parts that matter. Certification is the paper trail that proves the car was put back exactly the way it was engineered.
-
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes. We back our repairs with a lifetime warranty. If something we repaired ever gives you trouble down the road, we make it right. We've been on the South Coast for decades and we're not going anywhere.
Rentals, towing & logistics
-
Can I get a rental car while mine is being repaired?
Yes. Enterprise keeps an office and a row of cars right at our Fall River shop, staffed every day, so you can hand us your keys and drive off without missing a beat. Prefer a different rental company? We will line that up instead.
-
Can you arrange towing?
Yes. We can arrange 24/7 towing through trusted local partners and have your car brought straight to us. Just call the nearest shop and we'll set it up.
-
Do you handle glass and windshield work?
Yes, as part of a repair, and we can coordinate windshield replacement. Just as important, many windshields carry cameras for driver-assist features, and those need recalibration after the glass is replaced, which we handle in-house.
Services & locations
-
Do you do more than collision repair?
Yes. Alongside collision and structural work we do painting and computerized color match, LINE-X protective coatings and truck outfitting, fleet and commercial repair, RV and camper work, and classic and custom restoration. It is all under one roof.
-
Do you work on EVs and Teslas?
Yes. We are a Tesla Approved Body Shop, which is one of the strictest EV repair programs, and we repair EVs from other manufacturers too. EV work calls for high-voltage safety procedures, aluminum-safe repair, and sensor recalibration, all of which we are set up for.
-
Do you do LINE-X coatings and truck outfitting?
Yes. Our LINE-X of Fall River franchise sprays protective bedliners and coatings and outfits trucks and vans with covers, racks, lighting, and accessories. Coatings are the core of it, but LINE-X has grown into a full vehicle outfitter.
-
Where are you, and what are your hours?
We have three shops: Fall River and New Bedford, Massachusetts, and Newport, Rhode Island. Most are open Monday through Friday, 8 to 5, with limited Saturday hours at some locations. See our locations page for each shop’s address, phone, and current hours.
